Below you will find some information about the leadership people behind the CitizenPoints program.

President & Founder – Peter Haid

Our founder, Peter Haid, has built a strong foundation in management, technology, and education. His eleven years of professional background are in telecom operations and business management at Level 3 Communications. Taking night classes at The University of Colorado at Denver, Peter completed his Bachelors in Business Management in the Fall of 2003 and his Masters in Business Administration in the Spring of 2010. Peter was recognized with the Excellence In American Entrepreneurship Scholarship from the Bard Center for Entrepreneurship, the MBA Outstanding Scholar Award from the Business School at CU Denver, and the Business Achievement Award from Golden Key Honor Society in 2010. Though always an entrepreneur in spirit, it was not until 2007 that Peter solidified the CitizenPoints concept and found his heart for volunteerism. From 2006 to 2008 Peter lead a group of about 100 men called Men@Work through his church. Men@Work helps single moms with handyman tasks. After seeing so many lives changed by simple, helpful tasks around the house and having to turn away some single moms due to lack of volunteers, Peter was set on fixing this problem.

Vice President – Charles Howard

Charles Howard brings both programming and project management expertise to CitizenPoints, with over eight years experience in web application, windows application and mobile device application development, as well as CRM system management.  Charles’ belief in the value of volunteer work is rooted in experience gained early in life, on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout.  He continues to believe that volunteer work is highly rewarding, both for recipients and volunteers, and that one of the best ways a person can volunteer is by offering their services in an area that they are skilled in, or passionate about.  Charles sees CitizenPoints as a great opportunity to contribute his talents for building computer systems to the cause of increasing volunteerism, and opening peoples’ eyes to the great benefits that volunteer work can bring to everyone involved.

Bookkeeper – Rachelle Haid

Our back-office pro, Rachelle Haid, has over eight years experience in financial analysis and management. Rachelle currently works as a senior financial analyst for a growing, start-up telecom company managing their capital expenditures, network operations expenses, and oversees many large projects. Prior to working as a telecom analyst, Rachelle worked for 1st Bank as an Assistant Vice President. There she managed a stand-alone branch, focusing on loan originations and deposit and customer growth. Rachelle graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver. After mentoring high risk students in the Denver Public School system, Rachelle realized her heart for volunteerism and the need for more of it in the local community. At CitizenPoints, Rachelle translates this passion into the help and support required to manage our back-office.
